Meredith Salenger

Salenger was born and grew up in Malibu, California. Salenger loved performing in front of her family and close friends as a kid. The mother of her child took her to her first class in acting when she was eight years old. The first part she played was in a minor role as a 'singing and dancing orphan for the feature film Annie produced by John Huston. Salenger played a variety of TV ads. Salenger was the first actress to play the lead part in The Journey of Natty Gann, the Disney film that featured John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the very first US film to earn the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. Also, she took home "Best Female actor in a dramatic" at the Youth in Film Awards in honor of her role in the tomboyish Natty. When she was 18 she appeared in four more films, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Then she went to Harvard for the purpose of continuing her studies. Meredith Meredith Meredith
