She was born and was raised in Spalding in Saskatchewan after which she moved to Alberta in Canada where she completed the high school. She became interested in acting at the age of a teenager. To receive further training for acting, she registered at the 'National Theatre Academy,' in Montreal after which she attended the Moscow Theatre School. Her TV debut in the year 1996 playing a supporting role in the Canadian television series called 'The Rez.' In the same year, she appeared in series' such as "Forever Knight" as well as 'Ready or Not. In addition, she made her debut on film in the mid 1990s, by starring in a movie titled 'Papertrail' and later acted in movies like "Men With Brooms" as well as Cypher. Additionally, she was in supporting roles in series' such as 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery' and the 'Blue Murder. In spite of appearing in films throughout the decade of 2000, her film performances were not as numerous as her television roles.
